why is it better?

Not only is Argentium Silver more pure than traditional sterling, due to its properties, this metal is more tarnish-resistant and is a brighter white than traditional sterling, giving jewelry a more brilliant shine and longer-lasting wear.
Argentium Silver is also hypoallergenic and
anti-bacterial, making it a great alternative for those who cannot wear traditional sterling silver.

how come I have not heard of Argentium Silver before?

Argentium Silver was created in the early 1990s.  As such, it is a newer alloy.  Due to its amazing properties and higher percentage of pure silver, it's also more expensive than traditional sterling.  Thus, many jewelers have not yet converted to Argentium.  

how do I know my pieces are made with Argentium silver?

 All pieces made by SYDV Jewelry have been hallmarked '935 Sterling' or '935' to verify that your unique piece has been fabricated with this remarkable silver.  
While our designer tries to use Argentium in all of the pieces, there are limits to what can be done with the material.  You'll find that in addition to Argentium, some pieces may also incorporate 22k and 18k gold, fine and sterling silver, other precious metals, gemstones, seashells, and sea glass.  Materials used will vary with the creative process and allowances of each component.
