YOUR QUESTIONS ABOUT PERMANENT JEWELRY - ANSWERED!
What is permanent jewelry?Permanent jewelry is a seamless, customizable bracelet, necklace or anklet that you choose from our selection of sterling silver and 14k gold chain. Once measured to fit you, it is then professionally welded on by our jeweler so there's no need for a clasp. You can personalize it with charms or initials to make it truly yours.

Is Permanent Jewelry painful? Not at all! Safety precautions are taken to make sure you stay safe and enjoy the experience.
|
How do i clean my permanent jewelry? Most permanent jewelry does not need extra cleaning. Usually, the more sterling silver is worn, the brighter it stays. If, for some reason, it does tarnish, it may have been exposed to harsh chemicals (such as chlorine or sulfur.) At times, even a person's pH level may also tarnish some sterling silver. When it does happen, you can clean it with a polishing cloth, as needed. Then, make sure to wash your hands with some soap and water to clean off any leftover polishing compounds.
As for gold permanent jewelry, WaveLinks only offers 14k gold, NOT gold-filled, so there's little to no tarnishing on our gold bracelets. That said, any cleaning can be done with a polishing cloth too. |
Can I wear my Permanent jewelry through airport security?YES! Sterling silver and 14k gold are precious metals, therefore, they are non-ferrous, making them perfectly fine to go through any metal detectors.
What do I do if I have to take off my permanent jewelry? If you absolutely have to take off your permanent jewelry, simply use a nail clipper or flush cutters to snip off the little jump ring where it was welded. Make sure to keep your permanent jewelry as it can be re-welded and worn again.
|
What if my jewelry falls off?WaveLinks ensures that all welds are secure at the time of sale. As with all jewelry, permanent jewelry should be worn with care. However, accidents do happen and jewelry can break from snagging or tugging. If that happens, we can re-weld the jewelry for a small fee.

Can kids get permanent jewelry? As long as there is consent from a parent or guardian, children under the age of 18 but older than 8 years old can get permanent jewelry.
